Their logic is Pacquiao is the smaller man so he deserves some compensation for it. But if the man bigger than Pacquiao is in a fair fight by catch weight, doesn't that make Canelo a fair fighter too?

What compensation? Cotto, Algieri, and Margarito all completely outsized Pacquiao.

    1) Is he still 106?
    2) Since Pac started at 106, would you say the catchweights he used at 147 are fair because he's the smaller man?

You just have absolutely no concept of natural body size. Which is puzzling because it's a huge part of boxing.

Either you are actually ignorant of that. Perhaps you have never worked out a day in your life and studied your own body and how everybody has a natural size. Or you just want to flat out ignore that your current weight does not always equal optimal fighting weight.

I hate catchweights. I think they should be banned as their use has mutated into a really dirty thing. But atleast Pacquiao,s reasoning had something believable about it. This 155 thing is clearly just utter nonsense, I bet Alverez cant wait for the day GBP allow him to fight at 160 cuz what he is doing goes against what every other boxer on the planet does.

Actually I'm not, I'm a realist. Floyd is an insecure diva, annoying, and I hope he stays retired.

Get this: I'm a fan of Danny Garcia and his career the last few years is garbage, I think he lost to Herrera and Peterson.

Fan of Golovkin, my only beef with him is his 168 selective catch weights.

Fan of Kell Brook and I think his resume sucks.

Fan of Ward and he's wasted the last few years fighting in court or fighting tune ups.

    Try again.

Yeah but that's when he fights at 155 not 160. He will come around 180 for a 160 bout and outweigh GGG - that's what I said.

If you have nothing to say, why comment?

I doubt that. Weigh in to fight night you went from 5 lbs to 10. If he's at 160 then he just has to cut less weight. I don't know what he'd weigh but I promise you this: that extra weight won't help him.

Well I guess we can agree on the fact that a catchweight is not necessary between Canelo and GGG. That was the root of the discussion.
