Yes, we can agree, there is no catch weight necessary.

Pacquiao is A NATURAL 140 LBER, and even if he brings people down, he still will come in weighing less than them. Canelo is HUGE and brings people down and then weighs much, much heavier than them on fight night. I mean, heck, the dude was like 142 pounds a week before the Mayweather fight! He had a full course meal and 2 chocolate bars before the weigh in and still came in two pounds under the limit.

Won't get too much into what Pac weighs BEFORE fights because I've seen over 155 lbs for the Algieri fight, I think a month out. But I will agree with one thing: Pacquiao is a NATURAL 140 lbs fighter. I believe he's outgrown lightweight a long time ago.

pac at 106 - too small for 106
pac at 120 - too small for 125
pac at 140 - too small for 140

hes always "too small" when in reality he's always been of normal sized and his career coincides with the weights of many other fighters.

Pacquiao says he can make 135 easily still.

Training has little to do with how much a fighter should weigh or does weigh.

lift weights? - you will gain weight

    muscle weighs more than bone

    muscle weighs more than fat.

    muscle is increased by training

    therefore training = +muscle and therefore +bodyweight

    dumbass

1 pound of bone weighs the same as 1 pound of muscle. 1 pound of fat weighs the same as 1 pound of muscle.

Muscle is increased by eating more.

Therefore more food equals more bodyweight.

Pacquiao weighed 143 pounds four weeks before the fight with Chris Algieri.

when the MASS of muscle and fat are EQUAL the muscle will ALWAYS weigh more than fat.

Exactly. Pacquiao has had to do trial and errors with eating absurdly large amounts of food to try and get his weight up for the Welterweight division.

His body is not mean for optimal performance at the 147 pound limit.
