I would definitely put Parker above Aj right now. Beating Wilder and Zhang means much more than wallin and Ngannou
Some food for mind thought As of September 2023 The Ring Magazine's HW ranking were Champion Usyk 1. Belly 2. The Dosser 3. AJ 4. Big Bang 5. J-Park 6. Hrgovic 7. Anderson 8. Big Hoe Joyce 9. Sanchez 10. Wallin As of last week prior to being updated Champ Usyk 1. Belly 2. AJ 3. Big Bang 4. J-Park 5. Hrgovic 6. Sanchez 7. Anderson 8. Big Joe Joyce 9. The Dosser 10. Kabayal So J-Park has beaten two top 5 HWs in his last 2 fights #2 and #3 AJ has beaten one top 10 HW Yes, AJ has a win over J-Park AJ has three losses one via stoppage Usyk x 2 and Fat Andy J-Park has three losses one via stoppage AJ, Whyte and Big Joe Joyce All three of J-Park's losses were in his opponent's backyard One of AJ's was in his opponent's backyard, one at home, one on neutral soil AJ has fought in his opponent'a backyard once J-Park at least 7 or 8 times
AT BEST he’s number Three. And he has to earn another title fight quite frankly. KOing a 0-1 MMA fighter doesn’t get you another shot at the guy who already schooled you twice.
Good top 5 rankings. How is AJ #2? B/c most here want to have it both ways and make weak arguments For example. I like Parker, was rooting for him vs. Wilder, and predicted Joe would decision Wilder. So how do anti Fury people "reason"? That Parker's win over Wilder diminishes Fury's very successful trilogy vs. Wilder. No credit to Fury that he most likely took a lot out of Wilder, softening him up for future opponents. Credit to Joe, but give credit to Fury too. Using more triangle logic, which so many deride here, AJs win vs. Wallin was better than Fury's win, so that again diminishes Fury. No mention that Fury sustained a nasty cut - can happen to anyone - and still comfortably UD'd Wallin. Re AJ it seems these AJ partisans forget that he was schooled by a beefed up CW twice, and dropped 4X en route to being stopped by Fatso Andy. None of this is ancient history, yet so easily forgotten by AJs cheerleaders Also agree that Parker's recent run after the Joyce loss is better then AJ's after b2b losses to Usyk. But by using biased, convoluted "logic" AJ's toadies have him at #2, a few at #1?! He is not. #3 or 4 is where AJ should be. Why not rematch Parker, but this time with fair reffing? What not give Ruiz a tie breaking 3rd bout? Vs. Ruiz, AJ will be heavily favored... like he was the first time
Fury beat Wlad and Whyte better than A.J. Regarding Wilder, Fury showed everyone how to deal with him. Also, he only fought Helenius and Parker since the last Fury fight.
Correct. Numbers 1 and 2 are Usyk and Fury, in whichever order you prefer. Joshua is probably next, at 3.
Head to head who wins the most. 1. Usyk 2. AJ 3. Fury 4. Hrgovic 5. Jalolov 6. Parker 7. Zhang 8. Joyce 9. Wilder 10. Kabayel or something very close to that.
That means AJ got bounced around the ring by about 60 years ago. Now I understand how AJ fawners forget so easily. Are AJs back-2-back losses to Usyk fresh enough?
Dont forget the bodybuilder got obliterated by the mexican Michelin man about 50 years ago It's been so long but it feels like yesterday. I'll go rewatch that fight and get a good laugh.
So what if he lost to Usyk. Everyone loses to Usyk. If Fury goes through with the fight and then the rematch he'll have two back to back losses to Usyk as well.
That's actually a fair take even if it comes from a place of extreme saltiness. I'd also put AJ above Fury right now. Beating Ngannou means more than losing to him.
Joshua is active and his evaluations are based on 2023/24. IMO this counts for a lot. We are talking about 2024 levels ... and the more months/years since key wins, the more they should be discounted.
