I can understand: 1. Usyk 2. AJ 3. Fury While Fury is technically undefeated he has 2 fights that couldve been losses in Wlad and Wilder 1. AJ stopped Wlad and cleanly beat Parker who routed Wilder. AJ has a better resume than Fury and - whether it should or shouldn't matter - Fury lost his exhibiton to Ngannou and AJ won like he was supposed to...emphatically. Only person to genuinely trouble AJ was Usyk. Fury has also evaded AJ and has questionable delay tactics against Usyk. Time will tell but I can see how some have Fury #3 and I dont even think its warped
What about the guy that knocked him down 4 times and TKO’ed him? That same guy had a very close fight with Parker. Should he be top 5 at heavyweight?
That guy, Ruiz Jr, also lost his rematch decisively. He didnt stop ATG Wlad nor did he stop/beat Otto Wallin or Povetkin or Pulev or Whyte, etc. In fact Ruiz barely squeaked past 45 year old Ortiz and won a comprehensivey uneventful decision over 40 year old Arreola. After his fluke win he's accomplished nothing and priced himself out of all meaningful fights including Wilder so, no, he's not ranked at all.
If you're somehow putting Parker above AJ because of recent wins (ignoring Joshua's win over Parker) then please tell me why can't someone put AJ ahead of Fury considering recent performence? A little bit hypocritical of You I would say. Also Usyk is clearly lone number 1, especially taking into account their latest resumes and current form.
Fury got a highly controversial decision against Ngannou there's no way he's number 2 after that performance, if you don't want to give Joshua credit for destroying Ngannou. Then by that same logic you should be rating Fury alot lower for struggling immensely vs an MMA fighter who Joshua made quick work of. I mean what are you judging it on ? overall resume or recent form ? if you're judging it on resume Joshua has a better resume than Fury. Parker Whyte Ruiz Wladimir Povetkin Pulev Wallin Helenius Takam If you're judging it on recent form well Joshua has destroyed two opponents who gave Fury hell, so again i don't see how Fury is number 2 based on recent form or overall resume. If Fury beats Usyk however that changes things dramatically but until then Fury is definitely not number 2 for me i don't care if he's technically undefeated. He arguably should have 2 losses vs McDermott, Ngannou, and his resume is paper thin. Right now Parker and Usyk have the best resume regarding recent performances, but i don't think there is a clear number 2 or 3 or 4 atm we need these top Heavyweights to fight eachother so we have a clearer picture.
Easy: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PW1lfFHjdgc https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tKdAI58NOvA https://www.youtube.com/shorts/i2wQ6JtTykQ?feature=share And even more easy: https://youtube.com/shorts/zzDNWxUACT4?si=eO2g7aMPpa4YDVvP What is it there to not get? Fury get absolutely smashed, his face after the fight was like someone hit him with a sledgehammer repeatedly. Knockdown twice clearly, the second not counted, landed and 100% illegal intentional elbow that should have resulted in at least 1-2 point deduction, and still getting smashed to pieces, and clearly lost that fight. This was one of the worst gifts i have seen in Boxing. Just describe the Boxing, blatant referee that allows a cheater to get away with everything, just because of his promoter power and his star name, and paid off crocks who then proceed to rob the poor guy. Also everyone knows that Fury lost to McDermoth and should have had a TKO loss against Wallin. People are just being real. And everyone knows Fury is a serial liar and a ducker. For what exactly Fury should be number 2? For beating washed 40 years old Chisora, a fight should have never happen twice, let alone for a third time. Or losing to Ngannou ? In reality AJ fought 1-0 guy, who should have been the WBC Champion.
I can actually see a decent argument to be made for Parker, depending on how highly you rated Wilder and Zhang when he beat them. But other than that it's Joshua or nobody.
True, but that was a number of years ago, and both men have gone on to achieve a lot more since that time. A rematch would certainly not be unwarranted.
What about him? That was nearly five years ago and Joshua already avenged that loss emphatically. You seem to be under the impression that fighters can't move up and down the ratings based on what they achieve or don't achieve throughout their careers.
