Okay. IBF are as effed up as the WBC. Those that bought 70k tickets are guaranteed a one sided beat down.

I would have liked it with more than a week to prepare and get there, Takam had a whole camp for Parker. This is all but out of the blue

Yeah without a doubt. Not a hard conclusion to reach if you're able to think and aren't too emotionally invested in certain fighters. Takam has proved more in going 0-2-1 against Perez, Povetkin and Parker. Resume isn't everything... How you perform against top 5-10 fighters matters too - especially in an era where fights between the best is a rarity. What Takam has done(despite 2 losses and a draw)>>>> feasting on top 15-30 fighters as far as I'm concerned. With Wlad retired.... Joshua, Povetkin, Ortiz, Wilder and Takam are probably the top 5 H2H currently.

    Hearn explains it...

He was third in line and Hearn has had him lined up as a back up for the last 6 weeks.

Happy for Takam... He deserves this as much as anyone.

Maybe deserves it as much as some of Wilder's picks although not saying much. Still a 15/1 rank outsider.

Not a great fight, but on such short notice what do you expect.

    It is what it is

Please explain your problem with it? What do you want Hearn/Joshua to do?

Pulev pulls out with less than 2 weeks to go, what exactly do you expect?

Takam was next in line in the IBF rankings so therefore is now the mandatory, if Takam turned it down then they would have gone to Jarrell Miller and if he turned it down they would have gone to the next on the IBF ranking list.

Because Pulev pulled out and Takam (next in line) took it this is still a mandatory defence.

It's OK not being happy with Takam, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it but at least name a better opponent who would be willing to fight Joshua on 13 days notice.

Takam is better than anyone Wilder has defended against. Without a shadow of a doubt. Yeah.... Really not better or worse than Pulev in all honesty. This about as good a short notice replacement as Hearn could have gotten. Wilder, Povetkin, Parker or Ortiz aren't happen. So this is really the next best thing.

It seems that Takam has been in camp already, which is good.

This. It was already a mismatch with Pulev against Joshua, but Pulev would've at least been competitive with either Povetkin and Parker. Povetkin easily destroyed Takam and Parker easily outboxed him.

Hopefully Joshua doesn't knock Takam out too early so he can get some rounds in.

Dude, Pulev is better than Takam. Has a big jab and more pop, better career wins which is why he's ranked way higher. I really see Takam as minimal threat. Might last mid rounds.

Takam is much better than Razvan Cojanu, Eric Molina, Andrzej Wawrzyk or shot Arreola, all of whom got a title shot recently, or was supposed to get a title shot in Wawrzyk's case.

And Joshua already beat Whyte, not to mention there's nothing what so ever to suggest he's any better than Takam(he's not in my view).
