    looking forward to it myself.

there's an obvious flaw in your argument - you concede there's no link confirming pac ever stated he was scared of needles, then deny occam's razor.

you claim to be a fan of both yet faithfully regurgitate 1 side's propaganda. the fact is both parties coulda done more to make sure the fight happened back then.

regardless of the past, we're now left with 1 guy saying "let's have it", and the other STILL making excuses. regardless of whether it happens or not, this fight will define floyd's legacy. again, better late than never.

With the exception of Lennox Lewis, who I paid step aside money so I could fight Holyfield instead.:roll:

I dont agree bro. him fighting Pac wont define his legacy, thats set in stone and him fighting a JMW in which is not his best weight class at all, and fighting somebody in his prime and 13 years younger is not defing his legacy either but its a better fight then the Pac fight. that can be argued but thats how i feel and i know others do too.

and yes i'm a fan of both but im keep it real. I know whats happened to pac after fighting DLH. he picked the easiest fights and turned down the biggest fight of his life over random blood testing. This is a fact, The fight would've happened if PAC TOOK A BLOOD TEST!! Now u can say mayweather shouldnt have demanded a test but if somebody told me to take a test for basically 50 mil + $$$ and have a chance to have a career defing win and not take it...would've been a fool!!!

Now u agree 4 years later....WHY??? Can u answer that question for me??

all depending on how pacquiao does in his next fight against rios, it still might not be an easy fight for mayweather. too much risk, maybe.
as far as floyd's personality goes, i dunno, but i'd guess that if you can't make people watch you because you're exciting or score a lot of knockouts you can probably make them watch you because you act like an ass and people want to see you knocked out.

I admire Floyd Mayweather jr, I really do. I admire his boxing skills immensely.
I respect the fact that he doesn't wish to get into a ring where he may be battered and bruised and, heck, even lose. But then again, who does?

Real Fighters and specifically, prize fighters. The journeymen and brawlers who may be lacking in skill or dedication but will grab their trunks and gloves at the promise of some dough and fight anyone at any opportunity.

Of course, these guys at the lower tier of the boxing world differ from the guys who become world champions in the game. The mentality and character is different. The matchmaking, or the 'cherrypick' is different. At the top, you get to choose. But, if they've somehow maintained that original fighting spirit, that bravado, that show of ego that can proclaim themselves that they are indeed 'the baddest man on the planet', the best of the best, taking on all-comers, the respect and acclaim is there to be grabbed and appreciated.

Adrien Broner is a *****. He's like a little kid. But he can box well, and more significantly, will fight anyone. You have to respect that in the mouthy *******. Time will tell how good he really is but for me, he's on the right road to being what a real fighter is like.

Conversely, we have Floyd Mayweather jr who has given himself the tag of 'Money' and yet will easily walk away from millions and millions of it by not fighting one man. A man he could easily beat.

    :patsch

Now, that's F'ed Up. Jim Rome asked him a question not long ago on his show about his route in life if Floyd didn't box. He replied that he would have liked to have become a student doing Business Studies.:good

I suppose one can say he's currrently doing his own version of studying by doing Boxing Business Studies. He's read all the books, got the knowledge, got the great grades in his previous semesters and now in his final year, he can choose to leave with just an ordinary degree. A damn good one at that, but still, it's just an ordinary degree.

How about doing that Masters Degree? Once more into the breach?!
    No? Absolutely not?
It's right there for you. You have every skill to achieve it.
    No? Really?
Everything in your past studies suggests you'll get that Masters Degree easy. The recognition of a Masters far exceeds that or an ordinary degree, Floyd.
No. Are you sure? Dude, diamond encrusted buttplugs for Leonard, man! Still No? OK then, happy retirement.

Floyd 'Champion Cherry-Picker' Mayweather, graduate of Boxing Business Studies, achieves a final grading of a C (minus).

honestly i don't know. it's a matter of record that he blamed a sub-par performance on feeling drained from giving a blood sample prior to floyd's demands, and things do change, but i agree it's odd. no odder, though, than floyd suddenly wanting to "clean up the sport" despite never having said a thing about it beforehand.

but that's the past, and i ain't intersted in reading the same childish arguments from either side. here and now, pac's saying yes, floyd's still making excuses.

Except that Mike fought them both. The first negotiations ended because Lewis turned down $10MM, the highest purse of his career at that time, and the Tyson camp had other fights they wanted to make because they wanted to unify the heavyweight belts. That's why Mike fought Seldon for the WBA belt next (not Holyfield as you say). Lennox had no belt at that time.

I would understand alot of your guys opinion on Floyd but nobody in this forum can keep 100% by holding all boxers to the same standard that's held to Floyd. People hate "cherry picking" but let guys like Manny and Joe Calzaghe slide on cherry picking or not fighting elite competition. It's really a hard for me to take people seriously on this forum. If you knock one guy for something, knock the other. Manny gets FOTD for fighting the same people but in more deteriorated states then when Floyd fought them. You guys need an overall system that applies to all and not just Floyd.

BBMOAT is somebody ducking testing that little girls take in the Olympics, demanding to build a new outdoor Collisseum in Vegas, being interested in a fight publicly when he and Arum knew Floyd would go to jail then come up with a mysterious cut excuse when Floyd's incarceration was postponed ... so many excuses. Darn right, I wouldn't give that desperate PEDcquiao the time of day. Floyd has never needed him.
