I think he should go to their turf and beat them. Why not? Those are big money fights. He certainly doesn't have to though. This is however, just another attempt by his haters to claim he isn't that good. After all he doesn't possess superior boxing skills than Kessler or Froch, or any of his previous opponents. Its his damn home court advantage!

Truth is, there is no one at 168 or 175 that will be dethroning Ward anytime soon.

Ottke and Michalczewski never went beyond Germany to fight, and they had the German TV behind them

I'm all for Ward going to Denmark to fight Kessler, Froch in England or maybe even Bute in Canada/Romania

    Ward's already an ATG:good

When he's already whipped everyone's ass and the only thing left is to whip their ass again, that's a real champ.

Floyd, take note of the real deal. :deal

maybe, the quality was pretty bad, i remember alot of flailing by froch when ward came inside that possibly could have fooled me

although what i saw weren't clear rounds, not to say i couldn't just as easily have 9 rd's to ward, i saw very close rds that looked like they could go either way

but yea, when i got nothin better to do, i'll give it a rewatch to form a conclusion on the fight from my perspective

    1) He can make more fighting in his country.

    2) He's already famous enough. Usually foreign fighters make it to the US for popularity and exposure, not the other way around.

    3) Many ATG US fighters stayed in their hometowns and were still credible all the way to ATG status. As previously stated, foreign fighters know the big fights and money come in the US. Just a recent example, remember how both Pacquiao and Martinez made it to the US in search for sponsorship and support? They didn't go to Canada or the UK for it, did they? Common sense.

    4) As previously stated again, credibility and legacy come together. He's already established a great legacy dominating the super six tournament. As an American fighter, he has the advantage of staying home because that's where the big fights happen. Ever wondered why Pacquiao, a Filipino fighter, hosts all his fights in the US? That's one example out of many yet again. Ward has no reason to move out when his country hosts all the great and big fights historically and currently.

    Have fun.

Everybody should travel at some point. Man City don't 38 home fixtures just because they are the reigning premier league champs.

What if Kessler shared the same attitude? Kessler could've opted out of the super six, and defended his WBA title against moderate opposition. Froch could've done the same thing, the super six would've fallen apart and Ward probably would've had to have travelled to Nottingham seeing as he was Carl's mandatory.
