what annoys me the most is when people ask what training do you do & i say boxing ,,most people think its all about fighting each other,,so then you explain its a very disciplined ,self controlled sport

the best one is don't you get mad when someone hits you,,
then i say, well no because then i will get hit even more

some people just don't get it ,,i think boxing should be part of a school sport as long as there being tought correctly & were the proper head gear whats the problem, i would only let a kid spar if there good naught to & they want to spar,,the circuit training would be great for them,
got to be better than other sports done at school

"the best one is don't you get mad when someone hits you,," - when i first started training as a kid, i did this alot. Everytime i got caught clean in sparring, even with a jab, i lost my temper and had to get him back straight away...

... i came away quite sore.

It is instinct to get mad though, it takes training to keep your cool in that situation. Much like turning away when you get hit. No matter how big the guy is, in his first sparring session he always looks away when he gets hit.

  5. I just say boxing is a game. Like any other sport, it's hard for someone who doesn't watch it to see whats going on. there are players and there are people that try win with full brute force. Everyone trains to execute their game against evenly matched opponents.
