He was already P4P best before the fight. He didnt need to fight Hatton to prove that.

Hatton is the best at 140. He really looked small vs. Floyd. I remember when Tszyu Ko'd Sharmba Mitchell and Floyd came into the ring at the end to pose with Floyd. Zoo looked tiny next to Floyd also.

That he was! Hindsight is always 20/20. No need to diparage a good, exciting fighter to elevate another.

Hatton did his best & that wasn't good enough.

I'd probably agree if Hatton came in out of shape or didn't make an effort in the ring but he did both. It just wasn't enough.

Don't even say you weren't a little surprised early when Hatton kept up with PBF.................I always knew Hatton was fast & the ultimate aggressor. Too bad he couldn't sustain that pace & use a bit of a jab to get inside.

    Why?

Because he beat DLH? He was old.
Because he beat Judah? He's chinny and if Hatton was exposed, then he was exposed x100.
Because he beat Baldomir? If Hatton was exposed, then so was he.
Because he beat Gatti? If Hatton was exposed, then he was exposed x100.
Because he beat Sharmba? He was old.
Because he beat Bruseles? He is worse than most of Hatton's recent opponents.

The list goes on. You can't have it both ways. Either Floyd is still unproven, or fighters like Hatton were not "exposed", they were simply not as good as the best fighter in the world.

Hatton said over and over before the fight that Floyd was P4P#1. He never claimed to be better, jut that he thought he could win. And what fighter doesn't at least say that whether they believe it or not??

He was not exposed as anything other than not as good as Floyd. It says nothing about the rest of either man's career. You don't judge a fighter on one fight unless you don't understand the sport.

Hatton was beaten by the better fighter. End of story.

Answer my question - who is the best at 140 if Hatton moves back down?

Hatton was ahead, so they say...but when he got a point deducted, it seemed to bohr him alot...it was downhill from there
