Nah, Soccer, Basketball, and Hockey Players are far better overall. Most of these guys stay in prime shape even off season . . . a lot of boxers balloon up in weight between fights and need at least two months to get back in shape. So if a fighter like Hatton walks around at around 200lb between fights and still be the best JWW at the time it tells you the state of the overall athletic ability of boxers in general. Besides most of these guys have jobs on the side and cannot dedicate all their time to staying in shape.
interesting study, but it may demand the most out of an athlete but that does not mean the best athletes are currently in the sport.
So are you a redneck or a slav? probably both All I am saying I know your butthurts for a reason . . . you are only in denial.:hey open up . . . tell us why you are a racist! open minded individuals will try and understand.
When did this place become so think with Afrocentrists and various cliques of sundry liberal trash who's only trick is to call everyone "racist" who dares articulate an opinion that flies in the face of our socially engineered programming?
This trick you speak of manifest itself due to the words plus actions of racist jargon and tendencies of a segment of the population that you are akin to. Its funny that when a Klitlicker starts a thread and your lot jumps in with all of your racists comments anyone who does not agree with the tone of the thread is labeled a racist. I do feel sorry for you guys on a certain level but I cannot truly sympathize with individuals filled with such blind hatred for others.
Yeah, but that does not hold water. We (Americans) have not just lost the HW division, we have lost almost every division there is to own. A good European, Asian, Middle Eastern or South American athlete of average size would probably go to soccer/football before they would ever try boxing.
You are only reinforcing his point. It shows the over all decline of boxing in the US. For other countries the pull of Soccer/football has always been there. Yet, football and Basketball has only had an impact over the last few decades. the rise of team sports just so happens to parallel the decline of boxing in North America? Remember the US had dominated boxing so its decline is more likely do to another sport(s).
It's stupid to think the NBA players would have been good fighters, if they chose to play basketball it's because that's what they love to do, they're not fighters at heart. You need to love fighting and love boxing to be successful in this sport, being a behemoth alone ain't enough. If the legendary boxers could go back in time, do you think they'd pick a different sport because it would give them more $$$? Hell no! they'd still pick boxing, or a combat sport like MMA George Foreman said that if he had been born in the 90's, MMA would be his sport. See? a COMBAT sport. not football or tennis or whatever, because he is a guy that loves combat, a fighter at heart, the NBA stars love to play with a ball and that's why they are so good at it, not just because of their physical attributes. I assure you, if the Lebrons or Michael Vicks aren't boxers right now, it's because they weren't mean to be, THEY ARE NOT FIGHTERS.
