:patsch Read the thread moron, the (faulty & flawed) argument is about the amount of money involved in both sports.

Grew up poor. Single parent household. Lived in the Midwest which has historically produced great fighters. The most talented physical specimen America has produced. He's bigger than either Klit. Faster. Stronger. With a good amateur background and proper training, he's the best HW of all time, and it's not even close.

Listen.. The best US athletes are clearly NOT in boxing.. I'm not saying that the NFL/NBA player would boxing champs, but it is a fact that the kids over in the USA are more interested in NFL/NBA than boxing.

True that. But never mind, let the nationalistic eastern european so-called "boxing fans" keep deluding themselves that the fat american bums that the Klitschkos have faced are as good as Ali, Frazier, and Tyson etc.

Are you really that ignorant?? Do you honestly think all pro boxers make that kind of money?? Most of them don't make much at all. I know quite a few up and coming fighters. They all have other jobs to help pay for their training, cos they sure as hell ain't making that much in their fights. Only when you get to the elite level, can you actually start making big bucks. In America, they have college scholarships for american football, and basketball - none for boxing. They have so many football/basketball programs that are well-funded. A lot of the boxing gyms in the US are closing down/simply don't exist anymore. You don't have to be a genius to see where all the big, strong and athletic americans are going - and it sure as hell, ain't boxing. For ****'s sake, the best US prospect Seth Mitchell, was a football player for some time, before he converted (though he's probably left it too late, to get anywhere near elite level).

Because he makes the 15.7 plus endorsements that pay him much more. And, he's been making good money since the he graduated high school to turn pro. When the Klitschos started boxing, what did they get a million to sign and then $250,000 a fight. How many year did they have to wait in order to get the paydays they get now. At 22yrs. of age were they making 15.7 million a year? Nope!!!!!!!!!!!

Welll... it is a myth about as much as this:

"The best European HW champ is playing Handball!".

Fact is that in many European countries Handball is the preferred sport for big athletic men. In many countries it is the second biggest sport (only after soccer) and the guys playing it are huge and athletic. Look at the last European Championships and you see immense athleticism for huge men.

So this is AT LEAST as true as the NBA 'myth'.

    Are you that ignotant?

Let me see if I can clear it up for you stupid!

The NFL/NBA argument is not that these players cant make more money than some bum in boxing. But the argument is they would be the "BEST!"
So if your argument is NBA players would be bums in pro boxing, then I agree!:yep
