Kobe earned 53 million in 2011, Lebron earned 48 million according to Forbes.

Vitali wasn't even listed at the top 50 Forbes highest paid athletes list. Kobe and Lebron were #2 and #3.

Pac was #24 on the list, earning 25 million according to Forbes.

What's funny is even if your assume what he's saying is true (Not even all top boxers make more than rookies anyway). This doesn't disprove that the best athletes in the US have been shifting towards playing football and basketball.

Either way, I don't think anyone argues the premise you're trying to argue. Nobody says that kids and athletes play football and basketball early on more and more merely because athletes make more money in those sports. Those sports have have exponentially grown in popularity, while boxing gyms have been falling by the wayside. There are a multitude of reasons why a player would more likely choice and prefer to ball basketball or football than boxing. It doesn't stem down to just money. Even though your numbers are wrong and flawed to begin with.

More idiotic fodder from an idiot. I grew up boxing and playing basketball, I had a better chance at basketball because there were more options which way did I concentrate basketball not because I wasn't tough because there's more pro teams, and more college teams. How dumb can you be really.

Have a quick glance at the 17 weight divisions & 4 major sanctioning bodies. We should see the Eastern Euros hold more titles than any other region of the world?

Have a quick glance at the rankings at the top of this forum, Eastern Euros must be dominating there as well?

Sadly, the truth & your deluded, agenda-driven perception are miles apart. Everyone bar Klit-huggers find your posts laughable, nonsensical drivel.

In another thread you claimed you were British & proud to be British, I always thought that was bollocks & it looks like I was right.

    Hey all,

The way I see it is this: Boxing has a much steeper pay curve than the NBA and NFL. This would be because you have to be pretty good to start to get into either the NBA or NFL. You can be a really cruddy boxer and still box professionally! However, The best paid boxers make more than the best paid NBA or NFL soley based on some of the numbers i have seen here (26 million a year or so). You can also start out as a rookie boxer and if you do really well, shoot up and start making good money. It is also about the promotion!
