Bellew has repeatedly said he want to fight the winner of the WBSS final and now Usyk has specifically called out Tony Bellew in the ring after his win over Gassiev. Sensationally he has even claimed he "will eat extra spaghetti for dinner" in order to move up to heavyweight and face him. Will "extra spaghetti for dinner" be enough for team Usyk to overcome the challenge of the mighty Tony Bellew?
Bellew is ranked 5th at Heavyweight by the WBC. A terrific way for Usyk to cement his ATG, probably GOAT, Cruiserweight legacy, and get close to Wilder. Bellew isnt great, but he has heart. My only question is motivation. Bellew retires whether he wins or loses imo. He has no desire to fight HW's. Hopefully Usyk looks masterful, but Bellew keeps his heart and retires to an ATG.
Would love this fight to happen because Usyk would absolutely school him. Can’t stand Bellew and would be good to see him get humbled.
Bellew often gets underrated but he isn't garbage, He moves well, counters nicely but unfortunately everything he does well Usyk does better and then has a bunch of other advantages on top of that. Bellew as always goes out on his shield by giving it everything he has but Usyk breaks him down and stops him,
Yes he is a mover , but my feeling is against Usyk he would seem wooden. The punches raining in from all angles would eventually make Bellew go into to turtle mode.
