Every word is taken verbatim from Boxing News magazine. If you don't like the article, say so then, but you can't make this personal about me, as those aren't my words.

Don't waste your time on him Loewe, this guy thinks Hopkins is as shot as Jones - ie, he's braindead.

Nah he's a cool dude, as long as you don't talk to him about and/or diminish Calzaghe :D

After reading a few things of his lately, I'd probably agree PacFan is one of the more elite posters in the general, however your bias against Calzaghe irks me, and thats why I slammed you in the other thread. But being honest, at least you try and back up your statements about him unlike some others.

Please someone tell me exactly where and how I am being biased about Calzaghe???!?!?!?!?!?!

I have the guy as 6th or 7th best British fighter in history, around 19th top fighter of the past 25 years ahead of guys I really rate like JM Marquez and Winky Wright, I think he is definitely 1 of the current 4 elite fighters on the planet (the other 3 being Pac, JMM, B-Hop)...

To me this assessment is perfectly fair and valid. His resume does not justify anything more IMO.

    How is this bias????

Your breakdown thread is incredibly weak in my eyes, the same theory could be applied to B-Hop and Roy. Now don't get me wrong I dont have Joe in my top 5 Brits of all time, and only just squeeks into the top 100 ATG's if that, but not giving credit where credit is due irks me. Fighting guys is a lot more than what they are on face value, and there are a lot of high calibre fighters on Joes resume.

Other than that, take it easy mate, I'kll jsut ignore your Calzaghe posts from now on and i'll begin to apprecite your other posts.

    Doesn't help your from Glasgow:D:yep

    (i joke)

There is nothing in the Calzaghe breakdown that is not factually accurate, not one stat is made up. It is what it is. If you don't like reading the truth, then that would suggest it is you who is biased and not I.

A similar thing could be attempted on Jones and B-Hop, but the final verdict would not be as damning. Their resumes are stronger than Joe's, that should be clear to any non-biased boxing fan.

Fair enough though, it appears we are on opposite sides of the Calzaghe fence but on the same side for other things, I have no problem with that :good

    I agree.
I went to the fight and at the end of the 12th was not overly optimistic about JC getting the result. I've watched it several times since and give it to Joe purely on the basis of quantity not quality.

Every boxer has had a controversial win or loss in their career ,and thats exactly what it will say on their record, won or lost.
The judges score the fight as they see it, and that night in my opinion they got it right. On another night ???????????

Calzaghe won that fight. Bhop was better in the early rounds but actually became very limited as the fight went on and wasn't able to land the straight right with any regularity as the fight went on.

It was an ugly fight which was caused by their styles both are awkward fighters and have good footwork.

Many on here are always saying Calzaghe has poor technique but it is just an adjusted style that makes him effective those low uppercut/hooks (slaps?) are unothodox and difficult to see coming.

Also the way he has managed to change the way he fights over the years from a guy who was all about knocking people out to a quality boxer is impressive especially as he always a punch away from having to fight with one hand.

carles my man you can diminish calzaghe all day long with me i have nothing but respect for ya,i dont take all this nuthugging as serious as some calzaghe isnt perfect no one is!

pacman :yes i have no respect for someone whos lack of objectivity and rationale, coupled with ones own transparent bias towards certain pugilistic frivolities renders him dogmatic and slightly delusional to the extent of taking these issues as a personal attack rather than embracing the subjective and taking these teta te's with a pinch of salt,as i have said i am indifferent to you, your threads and viewpioints i find wikipedia/boxrec a suitable substitute!and if one must reply to this post please refrain fom unoriginality and the usual diatribe which is rife amidst these boards,id appreciate a little maturity and a response befitting ones station!

i hope the feeling is mutual, then we need not bother one another again.

    good day.

    lol.
