Among the non-great fighters who were terrific gate attractions in Los Angeles include Mexican Joe Rivers, Bert Colima, Ace Hudkins, Enrique Bolanos, Art Aragon, Pajarito Moreno, Jerry Quarry, Danny "Little Red" Lopez and Pipino Cuevas. A number of the mentioned were outstanding fighters, but fell short of being truly great.

Some other non-great fighters who were terrific gate attractions were Georges Carpentier, Paul Berlenbach, Primo Carnera, Tony Zale, Rocky Graziano, Vince Foster (for a very brief time), Harry "Kid" Matthews (although he was a better fighter than generally acknowledged), Gil Turner and Boone Kirkman. I am on the fence on the question about Zale being great or simply outstanding as a fighter.

Jess Willard's last four fights drew terrific gates for the time.

I can agree with you on Starling. But I always saw him as a fighter who had the ability to be great..... But Something was missing, DESIRE.

    Victor Ortiz.

Lots of people know who he is for fighting Mayweather and starring in a couple of Hollywood movies.

This list could really use an African, Southeast Asian, and Japanese or Korean for balance.

Yeah but did you see that fokkin' match with Bobby and that Prince guy? Not the artist formerly known as. He like knocked him out twice but William's limbs just locked up and refused to go down, like some kind of concussed marionette Frankentstein monster. Then Cyzy hit him again and seemingly woke him up. Worst gameplan EVER.

He’s referring to “Prince” Charles Williams. You are either joking or not familiar with a very good former light heavyweight champion in Williams. He beat Czyz down twice!! First one was a great fight where Williams was down a couple times early but came back to swell Czyz up badly.

Of course You're a troll. Longevity and posting quantity does not mean you post quality. But, some of your trolling is funny so your court jesting is sometimes tolerable.

In this case, saying Hollyfield was not a great fighter cannot be backed by logic.

So it is just another of your troll posts.
