Eye excuse or not?

Well Boxing_Master, he just did yesterday.

But it was because he was getting embarrassed and getting beat up from r7 onwards. That's all.

Lucas went blind and he did the right thing by quitting

 

When the count hit 4 and Lucas just sat there looking at the canvas touching his face I knew he was going to quit. At the time it looked like he just didn't want anymore...he definitely could have got up...but as it transpires he couldn't see out of his eye.

I don't hold it against him...

nor do I hold it against Ortiz for quitting with that broken jaw

Some point to the example of abraham fighting through it...however that is an extraordinary effort...the type you see often by boxers...

 

That's his choice to quit. No one here has the right to blast him for it nor can anyone force him to continue.

He's free to do that, but don't give excuses afterwards and lie to the public. That's not what champions do.

 

The man gave his reasons for quitting. You don't like it, deal with it.

 

I blame jesus. everyday. He made me a Matthysse fan. Why couldn't I just be a Floyd or Broner fan instead?

I don't believe the reason though because I can see through the lies, but I fully accept his choice to quit. It's his choice

 

the swollen eye in dsg fight its more superficial than the headbutt in postol's fight i think he felt a broken bone in his eye or a kind of retinal detachment and he panic and you cant blame a boxer for quitting in that situation, yes probably he is not made for this kind of fight where you have a lot in the table to win and to loose .If this eye's injury was so serious to make him quit he shouldn't be fighting again because it's going to happen every time unless he knocks the guy out before he gets hit.
