My most confident prediction is the fight will be entertaining as fook for as long as it lasts. If I was to make a kind of official prediction. Khan wins 1st 10-8 scoring a knock down because Brook comes out like a raging bull and can't get to grips with his speed. Brook is quite cautious 2nd, but starts using his boxing while Khan is showing his hand. 3rd, Brook has timed him dropped him twice and Khan waddles back to his corner in worse shape than his wife when Joshua shagged her. 4th, Khan is still on jelly legs and tottering all over the ring like bambi on ice as Brook is teeing off...... AND HOWARD FOSTER HAS STOPPED IT!
And if you look at Thurman vs porter and Spence vs Porter you can argue Brook nullified Porter more convincingly.
I will go for Khan UD12.. Brook has a better chin, but Amir is faster and more skilled. If Amir holds his defense and does not get punched flush on the chin, he wins the UD.
I would argue Porter even won less rounds v Brook than he did in any of Thurman, Spence or Crawford. One of Porter's best assets is his inside strength and Brooks own size and strength basically nullified that. So if I'm Khan, the last thing i want is this to turn into a fight on the inside because Khan is a pretty poor inside fighter
One thing I picked up from the media work out was brook switching stances a lot Looks like he’s going for switch hitting
Interesting, so many people pick Brook by stoppage. Brook is already beaten when he keeps bringing up weight as an issue (even though it most likely is). Khan by stoppage.
That struck me, too, watching the scene where he's eating and discussing his occasional absence of appetite in Behind the Ropes. I'd go further and say that he appeared slim almost to the point of frailty, though that can be deceptive.
Khan has trained hard and is not going to cut much water weight. Brook is going to have to cut all his water weight and won't have eaten for most of this week. The weight cut will hurt Brook more but he looks pretty good to be honest.
Khan to stop Brook round nine, i did favour Brook at one point but just watching his workout he looks terrible.
Watching lots of pre-fight content They are giving AMAZING insight, probably the most in depth stuff I've ever seen. Actually giving away technical stuff and sparring. I really can't judge the fight. It's impossible to tell. Neither were that impressive in the sparring I saw, both working hard but all the same old flaws. Both will revert to type if they end up in the trenches. Brook's natural size and strength advantage is pretty big. Khan can outpoint him but he has to be so careful. Can his pitter patter punches dent Kell? Khan needs to flummox early, draw out the mid fight then try to dominate with activity late. If Brook shows up though and none of them injuries or weight cut issues are apparent it's going to be a hell of a fight. Either of them could be shotworn and get chinned with a clipping shot. Khan hit the nail on the head that it's all mental but I don't think ring IQ will be the deal, it's going to be which man has more left in the tank! That simple.
He's cutting weight right now, probably hasn't eaten all day. Don't expect a real workout. He will be big and strong on fight night It's really whether cutting all the water in his system kills him at the weigh in.
Speed and skills for the amateurs because that's his style. Brook style is for the hurt business and really punches to put you to sleep. Khan gets that chin tapped he wont tap out cuzz. He will go to sleep. Brook KO.
