I'm thinking it doesn't start until later than was reported in some places.

 

Round 1

Rodriguez is chucking high jabs and overhand rights at Pichardo Liriano, and then ducking low in front of him to bounce off and back up out of range before starting all over again. Pichardo Liriano tries to time him with his own left-right combos while standing his ground. Not a lot of clean activity by either man, back and forth with the smaller Rodriguez lunging in to initiate the exchanges and taking the slight worse of them as Pichardo Liriano lines up his right hand.

Round 2

Rodriguez is throwing lead rights over the top, with Pichardo Liriano leaning over to his side and peering up at him. Triple jab and a hook by Pichardo Liriano from outside. Rodriguez falls in with a right hand and then suddenly jerks his entire body backward as Pichardo Liriano counters.

Again, close, not much in it.

Yeah, could be split or 2-0 either way IMO.

 

Round 3

Pichardo Liriano is switching to orthodox, lunging in with left jabs and darting out. Back to southpaw. Right jabs from outside. Rodriguez shovels in a right to the body, hurling himself forward and trying to shoulder-check Pichardo Liriano. They wrestle against the ropes and Rodriguez claps over the top with a right hand to the side of the head before clutching at Pichardo Liriano's back and mauling him against the ropes some more, grinding his head into him. Pichardo Liriano is getting roughed up, not allowed to box at range. Wild right hook by Pichardo Liriano from a few feet away and Rodriguez grabs him, then tosses him back. Right hand by Rodriguez. A jab is lifted halfway by Rodriguez, faking, and Pichardo Liriano starts to flinch and get a counter ready before realizing and pulling back.

Round 4

Big right hands over the top by Rodriguez, running in. Pichardo Liriano tries to line up the straight left while leaned back and execute some fancy footwork, crossing his legs up and scissoring them as he backs away. Rodriguez just barrels into him and throws overhands, intent and unpolished. Clinch. Pichardo Liriano is posing a lot on the outside, in a southpaw shoulder roll, but not actually doing anything. Rodriguez comes forward and slips a few right jabs by leaning over to his right and letting them sail over his left shoulder. Right to the body by Rodriguez. Pichardo Liriano tosses out a counter left on the backfoot, his back hits the ropes, and he jumps in to clinch.

Rodrigez is the smaller guy with more hair, yeah.

Pichardo Liriano is the lefty in white trunks, trying to box fancy.
