Friday, headlining on BT Sport. WBC light heavyweight international title at stake, 1st defense of Maderna.

The incumbent champ is a 36 year old, fifteen year veteran of the sport with twice as many victories as his challenger has pro bouts, and nearly as many defeats. Until recently most of his successes came in domestic fights at home in Argentina while most of his setbacks occurred abroad on the fringe world contention scene, but in his last visit to England in January he managed to knock out previously unbeaten Karol Itauma on the Beterbiev vs. Yarde undercard.

The young Scot (a dozen years Maderna's junior) is facing his first serious opposition since his zero was snatched in an upset TKO loss to Lennox Clarke two years ago. He does enjoy both home field and in-house promoted fighter's advantage, but for once actually won't have the usual height advantage with his 6'1" frame, as the Argentinian has an inch on him.

Ellis Zorro vs. Hosea Noah Burton for the vacant WBO cruiserweight title in chief support.
