There was a lot of hype about Itauma, especially since he won gold at the Youth Olympics, but I don’t think he’s going anywhere. He needs to work on his defence - he keeps getting caught too easily during exchanges.

Brilliant jab from Itauma but he was caught at the end of the round like in round 4. Itauma’s nose now has some blood seeping through.

Graidia got caught stepping in and got sent to the canvas whilst losing balance. Looks more like a push rather than a legitimate knockdown. Good for Itauma to return after the previous loss but I am worried about his tendency to be caught by the straight right hand. He also doesn’t seem to take punches too well.

Round 1: Hutchinson 10-9 (close)

There’s a big crowd ringside full of Hutchinson’s fans. A quick opening with both fighters exchanging some heavy shots. Hutchinson landed some nice shots which caught Maderna’s attention.

Then with about 30 seconds left Maderna landed a nice right hand which stunned Hutchinson. Shaping up to be a good fight.

20-17 Hutchinson

Maderna walks straight into a shot with his guard down and hits the canvas. Hutchinson dominates the round and looks very comfortable switching between orthodox and southpaw.

Maderna lands a great right hook at the end of the round. He is still dangerous and landing shots at times.

Maderna was dangerous in all the rounds but got caught with a massive right hand from Hutchinson which knocks him down. Maderna’s legs were unsteady and he couldn’t recover.

Big win for Hutchinson.
