The API scored it a 1 point victory, hardly a robbery.

Have you looked into submitted scorecards for the fight? Or any ringside polls?

The ring said he apparently won handily.

No i haven't, hence my asking you to provide some links/sources etc so i can have a captain cook.

That's one source and they don't say he won handily. It's quite clear from their report it comes down to whether you prefer the aggression or the counter punching.

    Google is your friend.

In any case, his only loss for 40+ fights was a controversial SD against a HW contender that outweighed him by 20 lbs. That's a remarkable stretch.

SRR:s unbeaten streak between his loss against LaMotta and the one against Turpin was longer, but probably not against quite the same level of opposition. Gavilan x2, LaMotta x4, Bell x2, Angott, Olsen and Graziano isn't bad by any stretch, but Moore x3, Bivins x3, Marshall x2, Maxim x2, Walcott x2, Elmer Ray, Lesnevich and Louis... That's just insane. Especially if you consider the fact that he often gave up a lot of weight in these fights.

The report absolutely points to him winning handily. It also doesn't make any indication whatsoever that it comes down to what you prefer. They stated Ray was the aggressor most of the way but Charles was faster, the better boxer and the sharper hitter. You don't win fights making the pace when you are outboxed, outhit and made to look slower.

    Their report is crystal clear.

You don't know that he was out boxed and out hit.

The API had it by 1 point after spring an even round.

Well that's exactly what the Ring implied. It's right there in black and white.

Due to the strength of the Rings comments i am leaning toward it should have definitely gone to Charles.

At the very least we can all agree as Bojak says, it was controversial.

The strength of one report convinces you it should have gone the other way? Ho many results in history would you have overturned?!?!?!

Have you at least read the full report or is this based on the small extract placed on box rec.

An asterix maybe but not awarding Charles a victory in a fight you haven't seen! Which rounds would you score to him?

I've seen two reports and both had it for Charles, one solidly. I've seen no others.

I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over it. I really don't care. Bojak asked me for the info i'd come across and i provided it.

I'm sure my comments aren't going to change the result in boxrec and promote a worldwide newsflash that Charles beat him.

You haven't provided anything to the contrary and i sure ain't wasting my time looking for it.

So have you read the full ring report? Or the full API report?

I have read an extended Ring report and plenty of other comments. One writer called the decision regrettably bad. Ringsiders believed Charles won. I'm moving from a "controversial" decision to a wrong one.

You gonna put something up yourself or just make continuous demands in an effort to cloud things?

What can I possibly put up? No footage exists, that I know of, so I can't say which rounds I think Charles should have won.
