I was at that fight in MSG 1949...Looking at the above picture, I nw have the shudders...When Vingo was kod he hit the canvas, on his back,and
we saw his leg twitch uncontrollably, I and the hushed crowd thought that Vingo was a goner..But as we know brave Carmine survived, and limped for many years after..What memories that photo brings back to me now !

Marciano has to be in the top 3 for physically ruining fighters, it only took him a few rounds and few fighters were ever the same again. I think it was Don Cockell who even said that Marciano physically ruined him.
