    Respect!!
    He's the only man to have gone 15 rounds with the Brockton Blockbuster.
    And let's be honest,in that fight Charles was hardly in his prime.
    Soaking up everything that bull guy threw at him, crazy.
    Did I remember rightly that the ref never had to tell either man to break once?

    Ezzard Charles, you were a warrior.

    I rewatched it recently. Great Fight but unfortunately not complete. Rocky's cardio was absolutely insane how he kept throwing power punches like an airplane propeller in the 15th round.

    The first Marciano-Charles fight in June 1954 is considered one of THE BEST heavyweight brawls of all time. It was fought in the center of the ring...until Charles' back touched the ropes in the 15th round. Non stop action between 2 great fighters. A big cut over Rocky left eye...Ezzard's face swollen and misshapen from the brutal onslaught by Marciano...Rocky hit Charles in his throat with a big right hand in the 8th round that effected his breathing for the rest of the fight. The only time Marciano had to go 15 rounds. Much better than the so called "fights" of today!!! a classic!

    Must have sucked for Ezz to know he would have wiped the floor with Rocky were he in his prime. A prisoner of his own failing body.
