Like Bob Foster he might decide LHW is the better decision for him. Ali, Frazier, Norton and Foreman are all going to bully him. Does he become a fringe contender or fight for fight championship fights at LHW? I'd say the latter

    If Young can, Charles can.

No, they’re nothing alike and George was paid to carry Young that fight means nothing.

Also Young has the better HW prestige then your Cobra so even your flawed logic is flawed.

Young fought negatively with a jab and counters, staying out of range and clinching in close. Charles can do all of this, plus has an all-time great offensive skillset and much better footwork and defence.

Is Foreman carrying Young a joke, or do you have actual evidence? I've never heard that one before. And Charles had eight title defences, beat Walcott twice, Layne thrice, Maxim five times, Louis,

There's no way Young was a greater heavyweight. Or a better one.

George, Young beat on fair cards Ali, Norton, Foreman Lyle and Shavers.... he cant hold a candle to that at all.

Foreman said it believe it if you want, I do that fight means nothing for more then one reason anyways.

When did Ezzard fight anything like Jimmy that would suggest he could beat Foreman? Where did he also show he could beat an iron chinned, 6ft3.5 225lbs aggressive fast starting boxer with the heaviest punch of any champion past or present? (IMO)

Ezzard was a good not great HW, he was in a HW era dominated by old HW’s and blown up LHW’s Oh and then there’s Rocky...

Young is 2 inches taller and has 15-25lbs weight advantage over Charles though. Both of those factors gave him advantages in keeping a boxer off him.

Stickin with my boy Ezzo here. He becomes the head honcho at some point. After Ali and Frazier thought in Manilla, the division really stagnated, I think Charles could snag the title in that time frame

He was definitely better than young tho lmao

Some of those would be awesome fights, though... Charles vs Foster could be a real shoot out.
Yeah, sadly, Charles has nothing for smoking Joe.

He would have had a big problem called Muhammad Ali, and two more called Joe Frazier, and George Foreman.

A lot of former champions could have ended up as a statistic in that era.

How far he Charles, probably depends upon timing.

If he is able to launch a strong assault on the title, in the second half of the decade, then he has a chance.

He also might be able to exploit the period when Ali is stripped of the title.

That's the first I've heard of Foreman throwing the Young fight.

I don't favor Ezzard against Foreman or Frazier, however, due to styles, I would actually give him a better chance against Foreman than Frazier. Just like I think Frazier would beat Jimmy Young.
