    Wow, Charles' eye was closed shut there. I guess going 15 rounds with even an old Joe Louis will do that for you.

    Agreed. Charles was a class act, inside and outside the ring.

    Charles was a class guy..love him..that fight was one responsible for kindling a lifelong love for boxing. I always admired how Ezz looked in this fight.

    Even Old Joe could still hit hard. Charles face looks horribly damaged. Louis won just 3-5 rounds of the fight. So when he did land, he made it count. Great interview. Charles was a class act. They don't make em like that anymore.

    Well said Q. That was a brilliant defensive performance (as well as everything else) from Charles, and he was only really getting hit with short shots on the inside, yet he came out looking like he'd shoved his head in an industrial blender. Everything Louis threw took its toll, even those sneaky shots.
