    I do too. I hate the notion of scoring a round almost regardless of what you see. There's definitely a tiny sliver of rounds that SHOULD be scored even, and an even bigger swathe that could be, reasonably.

    I can't see a lump like Arreola getting out of the way of 6oz horse hair gloves from a guy like Charles, Walcott or Satterfeild. Too much target and not enough pace to keep them at bey. He'd get chopped up

    I guess you could say he was as good as Coetzee if you leave out that Coetzee was much bigger, stronger, faster, a much better boxer and a much harder puncher ... other than that I'd say they are equal ..

    Exactly which shows how old both were, how over rated both were (Charles as a heavyweight, Walcott in general) ...

    Coetzee was bigger, I would not say faster, and probably hit a tad harder. Crucially Rex might have had a better chin. They are prety much equal. I don't see the much better boxing skills in Coetzee that you do. I don't think either Layne nor Coetzee were smooth fancy boxers.

    Old? Charles was 30 years old when Layne beat him. just one year removed from being the world heavyweight champion. Charles was past his prime in 1952 but clearly still a Great fighter.

    How is charles overrated as a heavyweight? Explain

    Walcott overrated? How so. The man looks fantastic on film. One of the all time greats

    Walcott was 36 except he was still 1-2 years away from winning the heavyweight title and producing one of the greatest one punch knockouts ever captured on film

    Seems unlikely, but unless I see the whole fight in its entirety, I can't make any firm judgement on the merits of that score. Can you ?
