At 175lbs and at Heavyweight. How do you envisage the two bouts?

This is a super tough fight to decide on. I rank Charles higher all time but this could be close. I’ll say spinks by narrow decision at heavy and Charles narrow decision at light heavy. Even though Charles accomplished more at heavy I wonder if spinks extra size might help him.

I’m just the opposite — I think Spinks is a force of nature at light heavy with power, speed and boxing ability … enough to get him past Charles (though probably just barely) at that weight. I favor Charles at heavyweight, although the Spinks of Holmes I might be just quirky enough to pull it off.

I think Charles is on another level even if they share a tier. He’s simply the best.

I have to go with Charles at 175, his resume is littered with some great fighters, Charley Burley, Lloyd Marshall, Jimmy Bivins, Joey Maxim ,Archie Moore , Joe Walcott , Elmer Ray and the biggest scalp Joe Louis. At heavyweight is much more cloudy, as Spinks would probably get 1 or 2 wins in a 3 fight series. I can perfectly understand if someone thinks Spinks would take Charles, Spinks was a complete fighter at light heavyweight .

At lightheavy I like Charles by decision.
It's closer ae heavyweight, not sure why I feel that but yes, Charles by tight decision here too.

I don't know if I'd say he's the "greatest", but I think Spinks H2H might be the best LHW in history. The thing here, is I think Ezzard may be the greatest LHW in history. Very tough question, I'll go with Ezzard today, if you asked tomorrow I'd pick Spinks

Gonna hafta go w them splitting a two fight series. The Charles that fought Louis beats Spinks at Hvy more often than not imho. Spinks was still a solid fighter at Heavyweight but I dont think he was as good as Charles at the weight. Even him faded still giving Marciano sum trouble in the first fight proves that.
