It's definitely Roy Jones v heavies week. I'd go for Charles in this one. UD 12 0r 15. Better at the weight.

i love roy jones almost as much as I love any fighter ever...but ezzard charles is the one fighter i can never see him beat. near perfect balance, leverage in all his punches, brilliant combinations especially great work to the body and an iron chin.

charles UD with the last 3 rounds butchery for charles and jones barely makes it alive

    Ezzard would tear RJJ apart..

I don't see Jones having any real chance here, he can't out slick him, he can't out punch him.. He would simply be in over his head here.

charles is one of the finest boxers ever but jones' speed would a little too much imo. the ring did this fight as of one their all-time dream match-ups issue with jones winning a split decision.

i love that issue to death and unfortunately jones last few years have detracted from his legacy and probably h2h standing, even to his fans.

charles though is unquestionably the best 175 pounder ever and the only person in history i'd consistently favour over my boy

the problem with putting jones in these fantasy matchups right now is that he's nowhere close to his prime and people only remember the losses. take a look at the end of charles' career. the guy lost 25 times in the end but that takes nothing away from what he was in his prime. the same should go for jones. charles at his best was simply awesome and no doubt the best ever at 175. at the same time, i don't think anyone that ever fought at 168 could beat jones at that weight.

Charles is more proven at HW but don't sleep on Jones; his style holds an advantage over Charles'. I still pick Charles in this one.

Why not just do this at lhw where both fighters were more comfortable? At lhw i lean slightly towards Jones.
