The smart money would have to be on Charles.

I'd expect Charles to become the first to "expose" Baker's chin and stamina and take the fight by KO.

such a lot of talent around at the time but charles still shined as an elite fighter until the marciano rematch. Baker looks good but charles would win at that period.

..actually ezzard's team dangled a title shot to baker's managers, but they said they wanted baker to have more experience first.

When researching Baker I noticed that if you give him a fellow big man, like Nino Valdez, Rex Layne or Joe Baksi, he shines. But against the sub-200 pound heavies he wasn't as effective. The smaller, lighter, quicker heavies and bulked up light-heavies gave him a lot of problems, evidenced by his struggles with Clarence Henry, Bob Satterfield, Tommy Jackson and that Moore guy.

Charles is one of those smaller guys and I think he would do a number on Baker, who was, to be fair, a very talented fighter.

Charles by mid to late rounds KO.

I've never researched Baker so can't comment.

How do you see it going Suzy?

Is there any fighters you think may have upset Charles when he was Champion?
