Charles looks pretty much spent here. His speed and fire are gone, and he's reduced to throwing slap-flurries down the stretch to steal the rounds. Charles was pretty much done after his effort in the first Marciano fight.

Charley Norkus became a Liquor salesman on Long Island,NY for Charmer Industries (Standard Food Products) out of Astoria Queens, along with his good friend and boxer, Billy Graham after their boxing careers were over.
Charley was also instrumental in getting his long time buddy,Jake LaMotta, his liquor salesman job in Manhattan and is documented in a chapter on Norkus in the book "Raging Bull 2" by Jake.

Charley moonlighted as a bartender in Pt Washington, NY and worked for several catering agencies on Long Island in the 1960's & 1970's as a bartender.Famed and now defunct Carl Hoppls' was one place.

Its possible he was serving you drinks.

Ezzard looks washed up here. He aged badly after Marciano I in 1954. Here in 1955, his legs are useless, reflexes shot, pushes his jab, and he can't even put together combinations anymore.
