I wish I liked heavyweight Ezz on film but he seems a bit wild and undisciplined, over committing to make up for lack of size almost. Sure, there are still plenty of good moments where you can see he was a master of the craft. But he was just a little bit a fish out of water at other times.

That said, I like this match-up for him better than most at heavy. I think he can do enough to get a decision.

Cagey, ugly workman fighter with dead legs. Ezz did what he had to against the big dummies at HW for pay when he shouldn’t have been fighting anymore.

Ezzard Charles and Byrd… I actually think Ezzard might be naturally bigger LOL did you see how big Toney was next to Byrd?

I agree, most of the time he did, for some unknown reason he looked really tight, disciplined and had really good technique and fundamentals in the Charles vs Walcott 1 compared to other fights. I’d say that’s where he looked the best, unfortunately the quality of the film is poor.

I went with Charles by points. He’d be a bit smaller than Byrd but I think his skill and workrate is what would make the difference
