I didn`t say Sergi would KO Charles, I was making a case for whoever lands the first well timed power shot could win, how many of Sergi`s punches do you think Charles could take and how many foes did Charles stop with body shots?

I feel Rocky would have been a little too big for Ward but Kov is a tall, big, powerful light-heavy, I certainly think he could KO cruisers who are near Marciano`s weight.

No disrespect to Kov or any other light heavy that ever lived, but they are getting layed out flat v Marciano. No rematchs trilogys needed ect. Kovs elite at long range against anyone. What happens when Marciano crowds him ? it wont be pretty, it would be discusting to watch, pure brutality. 3 rounds max.

Charles stops kov 10/10 times. Ward with his survival instincts loses 10/10 times and stopped more often than not. Kov isn't even a 1 punch man hes accumalitive over several rounds

the light heavy weight division is stacked 1-10 , looks to be the most competitive division in boxing, only problem they wont fight each other lol. However ezzard is proven over 100 fights. Name the best of his era and prime for prime he beat them, and more than once.

people like to mention that bum marciano right about now. who only fought in rhode island against a bunch of no name bums kind of reminds me of ggg another bum fighting taxi drivers. marciano fought some old men atg louis and ezzard just names on a resume that would have slaughtered that bum in their prime.

He KO'd Lloyd Marshall (a pretty good long range bomber in his own right) with a body shot. A nasty one, too.

I'd favor Charles over everyone in the Top 10- and I think the current division is pretty damned deep.

Louis was 36 when he fought Charles. Kovalev was 34 when he fought Ward. Not a huge age difference. In truth, I think Kovalev will retire soon while Louis was knocking out top 10 heavies until he was pushing 38.

    Louis was 6'2.5" with a 76" wingspan.
Charles was 6'0" with a 74" wingspan. (per official tale of the tape)
    Kovalev is 6'0" with a 72" winspsna.
Oh, and Archie Moore actually had an insane 78" wing span.

Kovalev does not have a longer reach than Louis or Charles nor would it be anything he had not dealt with before. Kovalev will actually be at a reach disadvantage.

I don't know what you could possibly base that on. Louis has rocked the hell out of durable super heavies with his jab.

Maricano's power is proven against super heavies and he applied constant pressure to Charles for 15 rounds, actually throwing about 300 power shots with both hands in the final three rounds. If Charles can survive that, he's pretty damn proven. Kovalev does not have the stamina to match an attack like that, and his reach certainly isn't that special.

Doubtful, Moore fought over 200 fights in his career, and knocked out great fighters like Harold Johnson, Holman Williams, Jimmy Bivins, Lloyd Marshall, Yvon Durelle, and Bobo Olsen. The only fighter Kovalev fought on these guys level was Ward, who he failed to knock out. I'm not sure I could pick Kovalev over half of those guys, as great as he is. Moore also beat up and/or stopped large heavies like Bob Baker, Lavorante, and Nino Valdez.

Moore one punch KOing a normally durable heavyweight who had over 30 pounds on him in the first round.

Yes sorry I forgot about the first fight but that was a hell of a right hand and Ward was in bad trouble, I still think he could hurt much bigger men with a punch like that it looked awesome to me.

That was devastating but the punch Kov caught Ward with was almost as hard and it was sharp and crisp it`s the timing the ones your not ready for, but the other stuff Moore did on this may have been too much for Kov, brilliant, that`s another reason Moore KO`d so many fighters not just raw power but how he could set up KO`S like Robinson, maybe Kov isn`t as good at that.
