Your right about Kov`s stamina but his arms seemed so much longer than Ward`s I know he was a lot taller. I just read what you said about reach that changes everything!
It's universally accepted that Ray Robinson is the greatest fighter who ever lived pound for pound. There's probably around 3 or 4 other great fighter's that can make a claim like that and actually have some merit to their argument- guys like Harry Greb, Henry Armstrong and the great Ezzard Charles. Charles was a dominant fighter up to HW, and his best weight class where he operated at his peak was at LHW. He was a complete fighter- had good punching power in both hands combined with superlative defense. He was easily 20 + years ahead of his time as far as his fighting style. Very slick and crafty as well, I'd imagine he'd have his way with the current crop of LHW's. They wouldn't be all one sided destructions, but I don't see anyone in today's current landscape in the division beating him. I think Ward is a helluva fighter and an excellent technician, but I don't think he could outbox Charles. That should give you an idea on Ezzards' technical brilliance.
