Charles stands his ground and fights on the inside with Patterson; turning him and going to the body. Patterson's hand-speed gives Charles issues, but Ezz's precise, cerebral counter-punching and inside smothering allows him to shut Floyd down enough to win a decision. If Charles gets more aggressive (which he rarely did at HW, after Baroudi and Valentino), he could probably stop Patterson. A win on points is probably the safe bet. Patterson's speed and aggression could win this one though, but he's a little too flawed to beat Charles, whereas Charles has very few glaring weaknesses which Patterson can exploit.
Of course. Evander used roids and was a rat gym and still he barely weighed 209 pounds at his best in the hw division. Tyson was naturally a bigger man than Holyfield
There's nothing between Patterson and Charles in size .Floyd had the bigger chest ,Charles was bigger in the biceps. At the age of 20 Patterson still only weighed 166lbs for his fight with Willie Troy.
This notion of naturally bigger has absolutely zero meaning when in the ring Tyson was evidently not the bigger man. Hatton started his career heavier than Mayweather, was he naturally bigger also?
Floyd had wider thorax, wider frame. Like i said, not huge difference but enough to make 10 natural pounds of difference
Of course, ricky hatton had bigger Frame than Floyd, Mayweather was a little longer but his extra weight was added mass, hatton was more solid. Of course you have no clue about it or simply you are debating forever for not admitting anything
Who did Patterson stop to project this outcome? Because Charles fought quite a few punchers of Patterson caliber.
Floyds 10 fights, from Moore to Liston1, saw him with an average weight of 187lbs. Charles'10 fights, from Walcott1 to Walcott 4, saw him with an average weight of 183lbs. Not enough to argue about imo.
