Charles Sugar Ray Armstrong are all goat candidates but you are just goofy as wheat bomber if you think hes on the same plane as Langford or Greb.
They are all in there in terms of greatness. But what you don't seem to grasp is that greatness has nothing to do with who'd win a H2H battle. Greb is clearly among the top 5 greatest boxers of all time, his resume clearly shows that. But that doesn't mean he'd beat ATGs that came in the eras that followed his. Bun in your delusional mind, you probably even favor him over someone like Liston, nevermind guys like Hagler and Monzon. You'd definitely pick him over these 2, when in reality they'd mop the floor with him. So, just because I don't agree with your delusions means I have a simpletons grasp of boxing technique ?!
That's funny... coming from someone who claim Langford would knock out Fury, Wilder and Joshua, possibly same night!
you and meathead bomber , do not know what you are watching, both of you dorks analyze fighters based on boxing form and keeping hands up, thats lazy and lacks any real knowledge of the game .
now what does that have to do with Judging boxing? are you another guy who judges fighters based on the modern boxing form and how high they keep their hands up?
There you go again kid. For the 3rd time, the General forum is where you belong. You speak the words of all kids when they just begin in boxing. You will learn little feller. Just shutup and learn to listen.
Yes and no. Charles was more skilled and bigger, so I just don't see how Greb could win. It's like saying Pac could beat BHop, it ain't never gonna happen. Charles killed a guy in the ring, Greb ain't got that power. Charles also has wins over Moore and Louis (not prime, but still), there's no way Greb beats him.
You don't know much about Greb skills, we have no footage available of him fighting. No, it's much different than that. Bernard Hopkins was full sized MW that also fought at LHW comfortably, Pac is entire weightclasses smaller than him. Meanwhile Greb didn't fight below MW and consistently fought at LHW. Charles is bigger, but they belong to the same weightclass, which isn't the case with Hopkins and Pacman. Greb has wins over some of the best LHWs ever like Tunney, Loughran, Mike Gibbons and Tommy Gibbons. He also fought and beat a lot of HWs, some of which had probably more power than Charles. I also favor Charles here, but giving Greb no chance given his record is ridiculous.
I don’t mean it like that. It was actually a great era for getting people interested in the sport. I don’t think people realize how popular Dempsey was. So many warriors like Greb fighting every other night practically. But the sport was a different sport...it isn’t fair to Greb as there is a lot he would prob change on his punch mechanics before meeting Charles today. As Charles would have to change nothing.
