Ezzard Charles vs James J Jeffries

Interesting matchup,I'm going to hold fire for a while on this.Hopefully you will get the response it deserves.

 

Difficult one to predict, since Jeffries is a matter of opinion, but I will have a go.

I suspect that the Jeffries of the second Corbett fight, would have worn Charles down with jios sustained body attack, and his "new found cleverness".

I suspect Charles would have whipped Jeffries like a red headed stepchild.

 

So in a year ,from fighting Fitz and being hit at will and looking like a novice,Jeffries discovered this new found cleverness?
You don't think the fact that Corbett was totally washed up , and hadn't fought in 3 years,flattered Jeffries a bit?
