Oops! This was supposed to be right before the Robinson-LaMotta fight.

    1. A beautifully fought, cautious round, and a great exchange thrown in as well. Even.
    4. Walcott hurt Charles with a counter right and left. Charles was hurt a second time by a series of body and head shots. Later, Walcott landed two thudding left hooks. Walcott.
    9. After an amazing exchange, which Walcott was actually forcing, and winning, Charles floored Walcott with a huge, perfect counter left hook. It looks odd, but it did the job. Actually, one of my favorite KD's of all time to watch. Damn though, I just can't understand how anybody could pull that off, landing that hook when and where Charles did. Only Charles could do that. Walcott took a 9 count, got up, and actually came back well. He staggered Charles with a right hand later. More great exchanges followed. Great round. Charles.
    12. Great punching by both men. Walcott in particular landing some great hooks. Walcott.
    15. Both cautious. Walcott punched more solidly of the two. Walcott again injured Charles with a a hook; Charles slipped. Walcott.

Verdict: Great fight from what I can tell. I would suggest everyone

If anyone every finds a more complete, or THE complete version of this fight. Let me know. I would do plenty to get a hold of this fight.

Can you imagine a natural middleweight moving to the royal division, wins the freaking undisputed heavyweight title, defend it 8 times against great fighters, including Joe Louis!!
Ezzard charles' resume is really, really impressive
and that put him in the conversation for the Greatest boxer P4P.

I've being educated whilst on here, I've got to be honest.
I never really rated Ezz, years ago I just saw him as the guy that became champ, beat an old Louis then lost it to JJW.

Wrong! So much more than that. And has Stiches points out, what a bloody great accomplishment, moving right up and winning the big one.

Then giving Rock Marciano 2 great fight in his latter years. The man's a frigging ATG.

Not much to say here. Two excellent boxers who could punch. Off what we see, Charles won fairly.

    Thanks for posting.
