   He is already widely considered the best light-heavy ever, and most likely the best never to win the title (Tunney being his only rival for that honor).
   
   
   

   I'd take Charles over all three. Definitely over Jones; the other two are tougher to call, but I think Charles was a bit better and more well-rounded than them both.

   thanks for all your considered respones i have not read a lot about the lheavy division from the little i have read and seen of old fighters ,i thought moore and charles were the two best with foster jones jr and spinks conn and tunney,loughran are the others to mention ,could anyone suggest a indepth book about the light-heavy division
