Díaz is keeping the left sheathed until he's at point blank range, bowling it directly into the "CHIA" imprint on Santana's waistband en route to a collision which typically ends in a brief clinch, broken up quickly by Kenny Bayless. Santana is barking and throwing 1-2s as he walks in, then clanging his inner right wrist against the side of Díaz's head. Push-down by Santana, with Díaz falling on the seat of his shorts. Díaz is very tired, pushing the left hand up from the hip and getting countered by the jab of Santana, who follows up with flurries until Díaz holds.

Díaz is holding a lot. Santana is working short uppercuts on the sides and chest. Díaz steps back and lines up Santana up for a flush left hand down the pipe. Santana keeps bearing down on him and Díaz is squashed up against the ropes. Bayless orders a break. Díaz flips up a half-hearted jab, and falls in with a left hand on the low thigh. Díaz is just blocking now as Santana works uppercut & overhand combos inside. Santana twists at the waist and hooks Díaz in either pectoral. Díaz wrenches free of a clinch that he initiated himself and takes a big slice with a left uppercut, missing. Santana is caught in a headlock and Bayless orders him emancipated. Right hook by Díaz. Santana walks through it and bangs the body with the right while his left is wrapped around Díaz's middle. Left uppercut on the body from Díaz as Santana flurries.
