Arreola has got heart and guts BUT little talent. He will be in a few wars that will sell for promoters and TV.....some he will win and some he will lose. He will sell tickets and thats what its really all about.

Okay so we should tell fighters like Floyd who cry when they beat guys like Gatti to grow up and act like a pro~!

Get real boxing is an emotional sport on all levels Chris crying at the end of the fight shows just how much of his heart and soul he put in to this opportunity, I respect him for that he didnt act like a poor sport and as long as he didnt act that way he is showing himself as a proffesional but I wouldnt expect some around here to know this.....

You've got Vitali confused with Wladimir.....
.....there was a few clinches last night, but mostly Vitali fought from distance and just propinated a good old fashioned boxing lesson and butt whooping.

Alot of lateral movement and sidesteps which was impressive for a 38 year old heavyweight to do.....and a few but very little clinching by Heavyweight standards.

There's been countless reports of him locking himself away in a room so he doesn't have to go and train. The guy doesn't have any respect for the ins & outs of the sport because he can't even be bothered to go into his first world title fight in shape. I can't respect him at all.

What? Poor man's version of Tyson? :huh

I don't see it. I agree that Vitali has heart though.

Err yes it does it does set a good example, boxing is a mans sport, and men have ****ing emotions, if you think it's not an emotionally harrowing experience to lose that kind of fight and think that baring that kind of emotion to the world is the actions of a spoiled baby then plunge off the deep end.

I thought the last 3 rounds where it looked like arreola was making a run at vitali on the inside schorle, broke the clinches to early.....overall vitali did keep distance, but i agree schorle was not that great of a ref......

i thought the stoppage was not neccessary....arreola was coherent, firing back....he did not need a ref stoppage.....but props to chris for not even bitching about it....when it looked like he wanted to continue...

I'm not a Mayweather defender......but what he did was show tears as in his mind he felt he was unappreciated.

Showing a few tears in my view is acceptable....nothing unproffesional about it.
Arreola did'nt tear up, he was outright bawling uncontrollably from the very moment the fight was stopped.

Some people cant control their emotions, so I can understand that.......but then from there, Arreola at least from how I viewed it, showed and confirms his total lack of class, maturity and unproffesionalism by by giving out anwers full of expletives.

I happen to have viewed this fight by myself.....but in many cases there are kids around in a living room setting that are watching what I watch as well.....

......I just dont see where people come come across stating that what we viewed from Arreola last night after the stoppage can come across as cool.

....bawling uncontollably and stating, "f', this and f' that, I'll be back, I'm f'ing coming back!
.....just my opinion, but Arreola is a professional, he should act like one!

My point exactly, if he is going to be allowed to clinch with out warning atleast tell them to work out of it before you break them up, this would allow more time for Arreola to bang away with what ever hand is free on the inside.

that didnt happen as soon as Vitali would clinch the ref would break em up, your right the last three rounds Chris looked to me like that as well, and in the 8th I saw a left hook from Chris that caught Vitalis attention and I dont even know if Chris saw that at all.

Yes because other pro athletes NEVER cry after losing the most important, high profile contest in their career.

Chris is a better boxer then people thought, vitali is just better.....chris is worthy of being probably a top 5-7 heavyweight in the world.....in vitali's post fight interview he said he was "suprised" by arreola....and i do believe vitali thought he would make quick work of chris, and it didnt happen....

Now Imagine if Chris would have got the call around the time Haye did from Vitali, perhaps he would have been in much better shape, this is where a loss is better than a win at 28 Chris will learn from his mistakes and his lack of effort and he will come back better than before, that is if he really wants to be champ?
