Let's hope that's true. I'm normally not a fan of crude fighters like Arreola but I'm willing to make an exception here.

Listen, if it were just the crying, I would'nt even have mentioned anything.......but its not just the crying......

.....these men are professionals and imo should act like it.

I've seen countless of sporting events and boxing matches......fighters get upset and even get emotional when they lose....

.....do you think alot of these fighters dont want to cuss at the camera and at the world???

......adults are not the only people who are tuning in.
There is a whole generation of youth's that watch these boxing matches and conciously or subconciously soak in the comportment of all those involved in the event.

The thread starter commented that Arreola's display was cool.....that hit a nerve with me, as I could'nt disagree anymore.
That was'nt cool, it was unproffesional!

Does'nt make Arreola a bad person or even a bad sport......but from my view, hopefully he takes a look at the video of how he handled himself and feels a little ashamed of himself......
......you do know that Arreola's kids were in attendance and saw everything?
Those kids should be proud that their dad put it all on the line for them.....but those kids also watched how their dad comported himself afterward.

If you dont think his kids watch how their parents comport themselves in public and with others, you're sadly mistaken.......and its why I feel a guy like Arreola should control himself, not so much the crying, but the way he verbally comunicates with others in what is supposed to be a proffesional setting.

......hell, I hope Arreola does'nt use that type of language when he's around his kids........but if he does, the least he can do is show his kids by example that this is the proper way to conduct yourself in a proffesional and public setting.

    .....just my opinion.

Agreed. You just don't often get to see that kind of passion anymore. Compare that to the post-fight interview of Victor Ortiz recently where he tried to downplay his loss as if he didn't care. I'll never forget this interview.

Mate, thse kids will learn to act professional as they get older, what they would learn from Arreolas interview and look back on as the grow up is that sometimes emotion gets the better of you and its not embarrassing, demeaning, or dehumanizing to let it out.

Look Arreola is acting real, and honestly if he uses that language around his kids who ****ing cares alot of Hispanics in California talk exactly like he does with the same language and guess what? Their kids know better than to even think to use those words beleive that.

he did act like a Proffesional last night, he acted like a true sportsman and thats what acting like a proffesional does, he didnt act like a sore loser, he gave Vitali his due credit and so what if he cried, he did nothing to disgrace the sport...

I dont care what your saying or the way you think he should act, he did not do anything wrong and I am proud of how he conducted himself after the fight.....

A kids biggest role model, whether they conciously know it or not, is their parents......

......so no, its going to be alot harder for these kids to mature and act their age at anytime in their life.

When you're a parent, you lead by example.
If you can help yourself, you dont cuss around your kids, because they in turn follow your lead and use alot of the language that you do.

I would rather say "My dad went toe to toe with Klitschko" than say "Oh dear! My father "cussed around me as a child... what should I do?"

Going out like that and giving an emotional speech in front of the world takes precedent over the fact that he used a few swear words no?

A person is not going to say, "Oh dear! My father "cussed around me as a child... what should I do?"
.....these types of things subconciously follow you around. You emulate what other adults around you as you grew up comported themselves.

Forget about the sporting and competitive part about it.....what you see as a child, you take alot of it to other aspects of your life unrelated to sports.

.....and like I said, I just did'nt think it was cool as Big Bone the thread starter put it....
...lead by example, when things dont go your way, still act proffesional in a public and professional setting.

....I dont know, maybe some of you all are younger and just dont have the hindsight of looking at the big picture and the results of the actions of others can have on other individuals.

....anyways, its just my opinion, so I'm going to leave it at that.:thumbsup

Okay so here's Cris part of the post-fight conference. I don't get it. Even in defeat he's one of the coolest guys out there and still hasn't lost his sense of humor, just look at 5:00.

Guys, "Proffesional" is actually spelled "Professional".

It's hard to consider some of these opinions seriously when the writers spell like ******s.
Consider how that makes you look and the example it sets.

Classy guy, I can't wait till he fights again. Vitali was very classy as well, I haven't seen him like that before to be honest but that may be just me.
