Zbik is now the "full" WBC Middleweight Champion.

Yep, the true Middleweight Champ doesn't have one of the 4 main belts. Says a lot about the validity of alphabet titles.

What was the official 'reason' for stripping him? Not facing Zbik?

All the belt orgs are corrupt and bad for the sport. **** the WBC. Zbik's not a champion and being given a title is a shameful way to get it.

This is pathetic. WBO and now the WBC both get rid of Martinez when he is clearly no 1. by mile in the division. They should hang their head in shame. The most ridiculous thing bout it all is that Zbik is now the "champion of the world", when his most recent wins have been huge hometown decisions. He'll lose it soon though, it's martinez I have pity for

Yep, opting for Dzinziruk instead of Zbik.

I think Sulaiman's plan in the long run is to get Chavez Jr the title. There's being talks about Chavez-Zbik happening this year.

Its disgusting that the sanctioning bodies are ruining our sport like this.

What frustrates me is when thing like this happen it belittles the achievements of fighters who have won a belt.

I know it's a cliched thing to say in the Brit forum, but this has to be a new low.

One of the best champions we have in the sport, the lineal champion to one of the most historic divisions in boxing, and now he has none of the titles, they've gradually all been picked away since Hopkins unified years ago until there isn't a single belt that's in any way legitimate. How many belt holders do we have I wonder?

When was the last time a fighter was treated as dismissively as Martinez has been by boxing officials?
