Really I think half the time he just babbles on like a drunk whino ..At least Atlas at one point was a world class trainer along side Cus Demato In which I find more credible ..

 

Teddy Atlas has been in this business longer than most of you have been on the planet.
If his comments are disliked by the Wladamites, so be it!

 

Atlas is pretty horrendous, hes too opinionated but hes ****n always way off.

He pissed me off today by talking and talking while they were showing the corners between rounds.

I want to hear what's being said in the corner, not some crap Teddy has to say!

 

At least Max is a student of the game, Hes not my cup of tea but he is getting better. On the otherhand, Atlas when he says something, its wrong!

This is a man who has a segment where he is analyzing the keys to victory and he would pull aside some cab driver to help him enact what should happen in the fight.

Student of the game ?? He was a former MTV VJ who happens to be a boxing fan ! Atlas has been in boxin all his life ..And getting bettet yeah ok and Max never says anthing wrong ..

Max knows his history, he doesnt have to be a boxer or a trainer. Bob Costas wasnt an athlete and he is the best in the business. So is Al Michaels. Im no Max fan, but I cant stand a smug man who thinks he knows it all because he was a rebellios street rat who got into boxing and became a trainer (he was no good in both) and now feels his opinion is the ****n word.

 

Like him or not, and like it or not, the Wlad isn't that great and the HW division is garbage right now. He's only telling the truth.

I don't know why they bother having a commentator that disparages the product so much. I'm not asking for HBO level blind nuthuggery, but having Atlas on does nothing but discourage any casual fan's interest in upcoming fights. It's ****ing ridiculous. If the announcer doesn't want to be there and vocalizes that, why the hell should the average joe be interested?

 

Well at least he has the credientials ..I will take a former athlete.coach ,or trainers word over a historian or so called journalist any day ! Anyone who's never laced them up can not convince me of **** no matter how much they claim to know !

And whats also ironic is that you think he's smug for what he says yet people treat opionions of both max and larry like its ****in word !

Than you wonder why so many boxer today get over hyped !!
