Hopefully. Also hope that Cotto resists the urge to get into a pissing contest with Margarito. If Cotto fights a cerebral fight, I don't see him losing. On a side note - Big props and RIP to Cotto Sr. As men we talk a lot of **** but there is definitely a lot to be said for a man that honors his wife and family til death...
Yeah, HBO purposely wanted to focus the first episode on the wraps so they could build a storyline. That Cotto Sr stuff was heartbreaking, makes you realize that boxers are real people and that we all have to go through the same process in life. It is great to see when someone honors their family.
It's your, not you're. C'mon son. Anyways, this was the best episode of 24/7 to date. War Cotto! I hope he ends Margarito.
I have to say that was probably the best 24/7 I've ever seen. Definitely the best in years. Before when I heard there was a 24/7 on this I thought it was going to suck cause both guys can't speak english. But English be damed there was sooooo much heavy **** that got dropped in one eposide. It was awesome.
Man margos eye... he is f'd up. Pac just destroyed that guys face... that fight shouldve been stopped soon as when his orbital bone broke.
robert garcia lost major points as a world class trainer for not stopping that fight. not to mention he comes off as a little patronizing and condescending.
That was a very heartfelt moment there when they took the time to talk about the passing of Cotto Sr. It wasn't the typical fabricated **** that HBO tries to stuff down ur throat. That was legit emotion right there. Too bad I've never had that kind of connection with my old man...
It's only when Margarito smiles that you notice the difference since it doesn't close all the way as the cheek bone rises with the smile like the other eye does. I've never seen Cotto cry before. Pretty emotional moment. I can't wait for the next episode to focus on the training. Cotto's going to come in motivated for this fight. I can feel it.
