F.Mayweather vs D.Alexander?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by checklefthook, Jan 18, 2011.

  1. Does anybody else think this match is possible, should Devon defeat Bradley in this match up. I for one think so especially if Floyd clears up his legal problems, his dad Floyd Sr has mentioned Paul Spadafora as a potential opponent, maybe to give some southpaw resemblence.
I think should Devon defeat Bradley his stock shall rise as he will be known as the best 140lb fighter in the world, contesting with Khan of course.
He can attract a crowd in St Louis 10,000 for the Kotelnik fight, and one other factor which could help this fight be made is DON KING.

Floyd's meetings with Don King may be about the Pacquiao fight, promotional business maybe, this would give Floyd a chance to work with Don King.

This fight could sell, don't think it would be over 1million PPV's though, think it would be more around 700-800k.

Anybody else share this view or am i alone?

I think Floyd should hire Devon as a sparring partner.

I don't see anyway this fight will ever happen. Unless Devon comes the next big time in boxing.

Devon won't get past Bradley, or Khan.

  7. Apparently the Mayweather camp got in ouch with Alexander's camp about that, for the March 13th fight that never went through

I thought this myself, but devon has got next to no experience compared to Floyd.

Floyd said himself that he is going to pass the torch onto Devon.

He has to prove himsel first though, and he has a good chance against bradley although i expect my boy to beat him, he had a poor performance against kotelnik but before that fight most esbers were claiming that he would beat bradley and by a difference of 2:1 now the tides have changed.

Theres an immediate rematch clause written into this fight anyway so whoever wins will hae to be pretty dominant if they want to leave no doubts and set up that big showdown

Too early for Alexander. If he looks awesome against Bradley then I would consider it. But at this stage of their respective careers, Alexander would not win a round.

Devon would at best be a sparring partner for Floyd, as noted above. Floyd would put an unbelievable beating on Devon in this one.
