He won't retire at 50-0 and he never fought the best on the way there.

Not happening. Besides, pac will retire and will rank higher than floyd even with his undefeated record.

With a grimace I could see someone placing him in the top 30, but top 10?

It's rather easy to reel off ten fighter's whose legacy is a couple of marathons in front of Mayweather's.

Even if he schooled Golovkin, he doesn't get in.

Thurman? THurman does nothing for him. Beat up Pac and Cotto though and you have a case.

I place him in the 40's right now. The sport is rich with history of truly great fighters who fought the best of their era's in really tough era's. People forget or just dont know that. The rest are just plain ignorant.
Skill wise Floyd is second tier. Probably top 30.

A guy makes a career fighting once, maybe twice a year against second-tier guys and this clown MVC wants to call him a top 10 ATG?

    :patsch

the more you learn about past great fighters, the further floyd drops in the atg list. i dont have a list but im pretty sure i can come up with more than 30 fighters i would favor over floyd h2h... and i can come up with many more than that with greater accomplishments. what hurts floyd the most is his lack of great fighters on his resume, who were at the top of their game.
theoretically, in todays boxing era, a fighter can become unified champion in 5 different divisions, while fighting only the 4th best fighters in each division. so beating a "champion", may no longer mean that you can even beat the top 3 of the division.
before the 70s there were less than half the divisions of today so weight jumping 3 division was like jumping 6 divisions today.
when you start to factor all this into what a fighter has actually done, you start to see how meaningless some of these stats and trinkets really are in comparison.

Not top ten........ I hae FLoyd top 25-30.. and he will probably stay there. If he beat GGG or Ward, then yeah top ten...... Pacman would only put him top 20 or 15 at best........ just my opinion..... to be top ten is not easy man.....
