i was living in switzerland when the klitschkos were still 2 or 3 years away from hitting american soil, and i can guarnatee you that wlad was always considered the bigger prospect. anyone who has to use the "us against them" mentality to defend a fighter (or his national allegiances) just isnt reading objective posters - or doesnt know how to answer them.
Joe is a good fighter but he isn't as good as he thinks he is..His best win IMO was over BHOP and it was very close...I had Joe winning by 2 points...the fight with RJJ is the biggest name and obviously RJJ was done by that point...Clinton was awesome and so was ricky
Definition of a lie:when someone says something that he/she knows to be untrue.Calzaghe AUTOBIOGRAPHY:Roy Jones is an unworthy opponent because he is shot as proved by his devastating ko losses to Antonio Tarver and Glencoffe Johnson.I will never fight him due to this. After fight was signed:Roy is a still great fighter.LIAR whether you like it or not.I can't believe that I used to root for such a liar.
:good If Wlad is the best of the brothers. And if Hatton or especially Woods is greater than Calzaghe.. .... then Calzaghe and Vitaly pose no threat to the America ATGs (the ones you would find yourself in a discussion about who is greater, Joe and Vitaly or comparable American fighters). Because if Wlad is greater, then the Ross Purity fight will come up in the discussion. Then the Brewster fight will come up and pretty soon everyone will agree that the American fighter is the greatest (unless similar embarrassing defeats can be found on his resume). Vitaly however is a much much tougher debate - as he has arguably never lost (other than on injuries). So instead of arguing who greater Vitaly or a comparable American, it would be so much sweeter and simpler if we could agree Wlad is greater than Vitaly, because then we can put Wlad against the American fighter - and Wlad is easy to ridicule. Same goes with the Calzaghe, Woods and Hatton situation. IT is probably no a coincidence that the tread starter chose tree UK fighters. IF nationality means nothing to him then this was an incredible random event :bbb
deal This plus the fact that I didn't see RJJ making JC any offers and Hopkins ducked Calzaghe in 2002.
> I swear I saw a thread started by this darryl guy the other day with him crying about esb fans having little respect for boxers and that they should go to the gym and lace them up before labeling fighters bums..and he claimed he would never call any fighter a bum...yet here he is saying an absolute legend and proven ring warrior in Joe Calzaghe has a resume full of bums...it wasn't April 1st when he posted either thread...what's the deal, is this guy a joker or what?
I indeed said that...But I aslo said that After I started BOXING TRAINING I will never call another Boxing A BUM. But you would have only saw this if you actually READ AND COMPREHENDED THE POST. But I guessed thats way too much to expect in ESB.
And someone tell this clown Hopkins pulled out of a fight with Calzaghe in the US back in 2002. Yes, REALLY!
Look, this thread was almost 2 years ago. I have had plenty of conversations with Posters who are more knowledgable about the career of Calzaghe and his fights, as far as why certain fights didn't happen (title eliminators, injuries, certain fighters that lost and missed their opportunites to fight Calzaghe and some fighters thought money was too small and some fighters pulled-out). I am now more aware of this. Do I still wish Calzaghe had fought better comp...ABSOLUTELY. But I do have a better appreciation for his career. I hope I have put this thread to rest...but I have an OBSESSED STALKER who has an agenda, that's why this was BUMPED!!!
