    Dude... if you were here when this fight was announced you would have seen a LOT of people Pacfans included who thought Pacquiao had no chance against De La Hoya. Criticisms included the following: Pacquiao was just looking for a massive payday, De La Hoya was just picking on a SMALLER fighter who has never fought at that weight before (his last fight was at 135, his first at that weight).

    Oh how quick some people forget...

    ODLH was criticized big time here on ESB when he announced the fight w/ MP. Look it up.

    Yea, I still remember. I avoided ESB at that time because nearly every thread was about the De La Hoya fiasco.

    Ya it was pretty bad, he got a lot of ****...

    ...And then he got DESTROYED by the guy who "HAD NO CHANCE" because he was "TOO SMALL"....

    It was just as bad. And I guess you weren't around back then.

    You got to give it up to ODLH though, he made weight at least. Can you imagine the outcry if he came over, while already being the bigger man.
