if he beats Cotto you can erase all this **** here, cus Cotto is a great counter puncher and he is a good boxer~ He doesnt swing wild, look at his last two fights, those are not wild shots, those are placed shots....
The point is he's faced southpaws and southpaws with good handspeed and pop. The bigger question is why do people keep leaving out the fact that Pac has never fought a slick defensive counter-puncher before especailly when historically it has shown to give pressure fighters like himself fits.:deal Pac will be clueless as to how to react when PBF shows him a look he's never seen before. It will throw him off and frustrate him when his balls to the walls approach doesn't work for the first time in his later career. PBF will be still landing on him and turning it up. Pac can't win a boxing or thinking match with PBF in the ring. He's in over his head in this match up.
Your right he hasnt fought a slick boxer like Floyd, but that doesnt mean cus he hasnt he wont win... Honestly in my view the last style you want to fight against a pressure fighter like Manny Pacquiao is a defensive style in which you lay on the ropes and allow the other man to work while you wait to counter, that will only lead to you getting knocked out.. When Floyd does fight Manny, if he wants to win he is going to have to stay in the center of the ring, and he is going to have to get some respect from Manny right away, and keep Manny from gaining any confidence..... if he lays on the ropes and looks to hit and dont get hit Pac will play off of that as well, Floyd style will then turn into a double edged sword if he fights Manny the way he did Marquez..... Floyd in this fight will have to take some risk and get some damage done early...... All logic says if Manny gets a good body assualt going in the first few rounds he will have a good chance in the middle rounds..... But then again all logic says if Floyd gets that jab going, the fight will be won on Cuts....
How many "QUALITY" black fighters are there at 122-135 Nall? Yo...you gotta think before you let your fingers touch your keyboard bro.
I wouldn't call Cotto a great counter-puncher although he can do it. I will give Pac full credit if he beats Cotto and have already said so. With that said it will be a tall order especially if Cotto hasn't learned anything from the Margo fight. Not to retreat to the ropes when hurt or pressured and to clinch when hurt or break up his opponents rhythm he also can't abandon his body attack early if not working. He must uses his jab and box, don't get lured into a brawl but fight his fight. When pressured don't go to the ropes but circle.
Guzman is a black fighter, you just giving his ethnicity. He's not african american, that's what you should be saying. And Cotto is also part african. Most hispanics from the carribeans are.
I second that brotha ... Roach will be as irritating as a real roach when it comes down to negotiations. I disagree on the $80 PPV ... I don't care who's fighting on there no fight is worth $50 let alone 80
Then this the debate. I see what you're saying, but check this out. When has Floyd ever faced a fighter as unusual as Pacquiao? Someone that's just gonna come right at him with blistering handspeed and not slow down. Floyd's shoulder roll and cross isn't made for Pac. It's made for more conventional fighters that fight more from a classic stance that throw from a regular way. Some would say the proper way But Pac being so damn weird and fast, that's gonna throw Floyd off a little. Floyd's ability to adjust is well noted, but I'm curious to see how he would deal with Pac. Sure Pac's 67" reach at a distance will be an advantage for Floyd. But Pac isn't gonna stand out outside fighting Floyd in a straight line, and he wouldn't fight Floyd on the inside either. Pac is gonna let his hands go and turn Floyd over. Even as a counter puncher it's difficult to get something in when your opponent is constantly making you move and doesn't let you get set to throw back in return. Not to mention Pac's blistering handspeed. Zab simply let his hands go and stayed busy(for as long as he could) and put leather on Floyd pretty easy. Floyd beat Zab by walking him down and putting pressure and tiring him, I doubt Floyd would wanna walk to Manny. Especially early on, since Manny is a fast starter. If Manny slows down(which is highly unlikely) then the fight belongs to Floyd. We all know Manny is gonna pressure, so when Floyd looks to lay back & shoulder roll, he's gonna lean into right hooks & straight left hands if he moves his head in a direction Pac is throwing because Manny throws so many punches from weird angles, Floyd may lean into ****. Corely is an unusual fighter that throws from weird angles and Chop Chop doesn't have anywhere near the arsonal or finishing ability Pac has. You made a very good post, I could see it playing out the way you said as well, I mean we're talking Floyd here. But Pac has a chance no doubt in my mind.
First off, Guzman is NOT a black fighter. He's Dominican, therefore NOT a black fighter. Was Tito Trinidad black? No he was not. He was tanned skin like Guzman is. That doesn't mean he's black. Just because someone is tan skin doesn't make them black. Hell Hulk Hogan is tanned skin, that doesn't exactly qualify him as part African. Secondly, Cotto IS NOT PART AFRICAN. He's Puerto Rican, just like myself and I'm not a black man nor part African. Jamaica is in the carribean, maybe perhaps you're getting confused since Jamaica is in the carribean and mainly Latin countries make up the carribean. And how can you say Guzman is not African American, then say "Cotto is also part African". You just said Guzman is NOT African then come back and say Cotto is "ALSO" part African. This doesn't make any sense.
