As usual, a Floydette putting all the blame on Pac.

It takes two to tango!!! If there is to be blamed at all, it is GBP and their bruised ego. Afterall, the whole drug testing was Scaefer's idea, and not even Mayweather's.

GBP has a long history of trying to destroy Pac.

Where is the statement that said "Pac is one dimensional that he will never win against me."

Now they are not so confident anymore???

That statemet referred to the present pac, the one that fought hattonb and ODLH, and viewed as such already with or without steroids.

Apparently, there was qualifying statement after that : "As long as he is not taking PEDS."

Floyd is the one here who, all along, INSISTED the drug testing be done his way or the fight wouldn't go through. Nowhere did Manny or Top Rank, in any of their negotiations, put the all the chips on the table and say "This is a MUST or we walk away" -- that was always Floyd's angle.

Pac, by agreeing to do as many random urine tests as required and testing for blood immediately after the fight or even 30 days beforehand, is certainly showing some "give and take" considering it's not even a standard requirement for a professional boxing match. Plenty of fights take place with 8oz gloves and a smaller ring.

Now I must say I agree with this. With this much money at stake, this much time already invested in negotiations, this much hype being generated in public media circles, I must say Manny's reluctance to not to go through with the testing regardless of whether it's warranted or not reflects as poorly on him as it does Floyd.

OK...so let's stick to the boxing analogy, even though the tennis analogy is accurate.

What would you have thought if Michael Spinks had made this same unmeritted demand to Mike Tyson before their fight in 1988?

Would you have thought, like everyone else, that Michael Spinks was trying to get out of fighting an opponent who was illogically steamrolling his opponents? A smaller fighter destroying bigger fighters?

After all, this is the basis of the Floyd Mayweather grievance.

    Please answer the question.

It won't happen. Pacman was ready for the fight, Mayweather had new rules he wanted to apply for this ONE fight. Seriously, even if it happened the demands Mayweather had OBVIOUSLY showed he doesn't WANT THE FIGHT. Why would anyone request such rules especially when he KNOWS he doesn't get credit WHOEVER he beats and this is his best chance to get lots of credit, you think he will ruin it alone?. What they requested was proof to either postpone or kill the fight permanently and my pick is kill it. If they don't do it now they WON'T do it later. Pac has an election to prepare/focus on. Pac fought mid-last month against none other than Cotto and still he was ready to sign this fight which was set to happen THREE MONTHS LATER. This proves right there who wanted this fight badly and SERIOUSLY. Mayweather fought three months ago and against Marquez in a fight he didn't get hit as much as Pac did in his and didn't need to waste much energy either, Pac was in a tense fight where if he got careless Cotto nailed him and woke him up immediately.

Please I don't want ANYONE to compare Pac/Roach asking for $10million for every pound ABOVE 147 Mayweather comes in, they're not banking on that money they just want to make sure they don't get screwed like Marquez got screwed and in a huge fight like this they will be FORCED to fight anyway even if Mayweather ****s up, which is very possible since he did recently and was demanding 154 if you people forgot. If they cancel it at the weigh-in they will kill everything and have LOTS of people ALL OVER THE WORLD pissed off, this is a global event. So they want to make sure they're getting shitloads of money as security and I don't blame them. They never tried to implement new rules out of their pocket.

Yup...it won't happen...Floyd never had any intention of making this fight happen...furthermore, i believe the Mosley/Floyd confrontation after the JMM fight was staged...unfortunately for GBP and May, they didn't get the response they were looking for.

This will be Floyd's next big fight...Floyd/Mosley in June or July of 2010.

Unfortunately, you and everyone else just doesn't GET the purpose of the thread!!!

There is a reason why its called NEGOTIATIONS!!!!

Its not called..."I request, you deny, if you don't like, run out the room crying 'FIGHTS OFF...CALL MALIGNAGGI!!!"

    NEGOTIATE...UNTIL A DEAL IS REACHED...THAT SIMPLE.

FLOYD CAME BACK JUST FOR THIS FIGHT...THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL HE WANTS TO CALL IT OFF.

Now if Pacquiao wants to test himself by fighting that POWERFUL TITAN PAULIE MALLIGNAGGI...SO BE IT!!!:-(

I just hope he's ready for the criticizm!!!!

If Floyd really wanted to negotiate and find a solution to this unmerited quandary, he would have done the right thing and negotiated this behind closed doors. Instead GBP has led the media in this witch hunt to the point of a possible slander and defamation lawsuit.
